How to use a parasol?
Using a Scandipro parasol is a breeze! Watch the video below.
There is no need to use force to open or close.
The models are different, and each model has a different instruction manual. For your convenience, we have created a product video for each product, which you can find on the respective product page.
Scandipro sunshade maintenance
Storing and maintaining your parasol is essential to ensure that your parasol is ready for the next season. Correct storage and early maintenance will ensure a longer shade life.
The ropes of the opening mechanisms are securely fastened.
When storing the sunshade for long periods, make sure that the CATTERY IS DRY - otherwise it may halitate.
For a parasol to work every day, it needs maintenance at least once a year.
Although patio umbrellas are designed to withstand a variety of weather conditions, it is not recommended to leave them out during strong winds, storms, hurricanes and winter. Instead of storing them outdoors, pack them up and store them indoors or in a shed.

Whether you want to remove dust and debris or wipe away dirt, all you generally need is a clean, damp cloth.
This should ensure that most of the dirt is removed. However, if you have a more heavily soiled frame (from nearby pavement and traffic dust), start by cleaning with a mixture of alkaline soap and water, and use a gentle cloth. Once you've scrubbed off the dirt, rinse with a damp cloth.
Notice! Avoid the use of toxic cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these products can damage the finish of your patio shade frame and promote rusting.
Washing off loose dirt immediately will help prevent stains, so act quickly.
To start with, check if your shade fabric is removable, which will make cleaning easier.
Next, lay down some ground cover (plastic sheeting or other clean present) or some old blankets/liners to protect the shade cover from touching the ground, and spread out the cover that needs cleaning.
Spray the affected area with water running from your garden hose, then gently wipe off any loose dirt that has dried with a cloth, wash the coating with alkaline soap and warm water. Finally, rinse the cleaned area again with your garden hose.
Allow your shade cloth to air dry freely outdoors. Place the fabric on the frame and leave the shade open - if possible, place it in a sunny spot to speed up the drying process.
If the coating is heavily soiled, we recommend that you have it dry-cleaned, or take it to a specialist cleaner who will assess whether it is at all possible to get the coating clean.
MAKE SURE THAT THE CANOPY IS DRY BEFORE PACKING IT UP FOR STORAGE! If you pack up a damp shade, mould will form in the fabric and you will not be able to clean it out later with any means.
